“All the Right Moves” is classic in the game of chess, playing the most effective, principled moves to gain advantages. For us at RCOP, making all the right moves just as in chess is crucial when it comes to producing top quality plants, providing you and your customers with the advantages they need!

A proper environment is key to getting crops started off right- warmer when they are first growing- established on warm benches, encouraging their roots to grow strong, and pushing top growth to support the plant as it matures. For those crops that especially thrive in cooler climates, moving them out to our open sided greenhouses allows us to drop the temperature and allow optimal air movement across the crop. Growing can be just like chess, carefully planning and scheduling crops so they are moved in and out of the different growing areas at the right time for optimal growth.

This has many crop benefits-

In addition, as the season progresses changing from early spring crops to spring crops, starting crops in the open sided greenhouse starts them off amazingly well. Plants are well toned, full of energy, and ready to explode once planted into the landscape and final containers.
